Each project or retainer is confirmed in a written proposal or order. If a proposal conflicts with these terms, the proposal takes priority for that engagement.
2. Services
I provide search engine optimization, generative and answer engine optimization, content, and WordPress services as described on this website and in each proposal.
Published prices are starting prices in US dollars. The final scope, price, timeline, and deliverables are confirmed in writing before work begins.
3. No guaranteed results
Search engines and AI platforms are controlled by third parties and change frequently. I do not guarantee specific rankings, traffic, leads, sales, or mentions in AI-generated answers.
I commit to doing the agreed work professionally, following search engine guidelines, and reporting honestly on progress.
4. Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information, timely access to the accounts and systems needed for the work, and prompt feedback and approvals.
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of your products, services, and any content you supply or approve, including compliance with industry rules such as attorney advertising or health regulations.
Delays in access or approvals may extend timelines.
5. Fees and payment
One-time projects are invoiced as set out in the proposal, typically [50%] upfront and the balance on delivery. Retainers are billed monthly in advance.
Invoices are due within [7] days. I may pause work on overdue accounts. Payments are made in USD, and any currency conversion or bank fees are your responsibility.
6. Retainer terms
Monthly retainers have a minimum term of three months, after which they continue month to month.

7. Intellectual property
Once paid in full, you own the deliverables created specifically for you, including reports, content, and code written for your site.
I keep ownership of my pre-existing methods, templates, and tools, and grant you a license to use any that are included in your deliverables.
I may describe the type of work I did for you in my portfolio without confidential details, unless you ask me not to. Named case studies and testimonials are only published with your written permission.
8. Confidentiality
I keep your non-public business information confidential and use it only to provide the services. I'm happy to sign a reasonable NDA.
9. Third-party tools and platforms
Work may involve third-party platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, Google, and SEO tools. I am not responsible for their outages, policy changes, or pricing.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, my total liability for any claim relating to the services is limited to the fees you paid me in the three months before the claim. I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or rankings.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law or consumer protection laws in your country.
